Hannah's Journey
I always knew I wanted to be a beauty therapist from the age of about 8.
I used to make Price Lists on our PC (when they first came out) and my only client was my mum! I went to beauty college full time when I left school at 16 and completed my NVQ level 2 & 3 and I couldn’t wait to get started in this exciting industry!
When I was 22 I started working at The Vanity Room in Bingham and my self-employment journey started there! I had to work from the bottom up and build my own client base and with no experience of how to market myself, I had to learn fast!
At the age of 25 I trained in Semi – Permanent Eyelash Extensions and my business literally took off! I was lashing the ladies of Bingham each and every day and soon became known as ‘The Lash Lady’ and I have never looked back!
At the age of 26 I then took over The Vanity Room and suddenly I was responsible for a whole business and the people who worked in it. I have always been a hard worker and driven yet more lessons were learnt along the way. It was at this salon that I took on my first employee that was to be the start of many.
In 2013 aged 29 I took on a new premises within Bingham to a smaller and more manageable size. This was to be my home for the next decade.
In that time I grew the business significantly and increased my team of Vanity Girls – a team of beauty professionals and established a safe space for clients to come and express themselves. Quite often the roof would be lifted with laughter and I am proud of the culture that I created.
Fast forward to 2023 having navigated through the pandemic, energy crisis and increased costs, I made the difficult decision to close the salon. However this is not the end of my journey… I decided that I wanted to go back to performing beauty treatments and also start offering advanced skincare such as Chemical Peels, Micro-needling & Dermaplaning.
I am now operating under my new brand ‘Rejuvenate Beauty’ and I am working from my own beauty room in the Old Post Office Yard in Bingham!
Rejuvenate has many meanings...
I feel like I am Rejuvenating myself as a beauty professional having been a salon owner for 13 years and I am also Rejuvenating my clients – their lashes, nails, brows and their skin!
Rejuvenate Beauty – where professionalism, expertise and knowledge meets luxury, indulgence and therapy.
